Privacy Policy

URemember is a photo-memory application published by Luca Legeland, an individual publisher based in France. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the URemember iOS application and the related informational website.

URemember may process the following categories of information:

• account identifiers, including your email address and internal user identifier;
• profile information that you choose to provide, such as your name and preferences;
• authentication and account-status information handled through Supabase;
• subscription-related identifiers and App Store purchase or entitlement status made available through StoreKit and RevenueCat;
• photo-library references, creation dates and location metadata accessed with your permission;
• local Rewind configuration, preferences, indexes and generated outputs;
• technical information necessary to operate and secure the informational website, which may be processed by the website hosting provider.

URemember does not use advertising trackers or behavioral advertising SDKs.

Information is used to:

• create and maintain your account;
• authenticate you;
• provide Rewind, Memory Map and account-management features;
• manage subscription status, restore eligible purchases and provide access to subscribed features;
• remember your app preferences;
• respond to support and privacy requests;
• protect the security and integrity of the service;
• comply with legal obligations where applicable.

URemember requests permission to access your Apple Photos library so that you can create Rewinds and organize memories.

Your original photos remain in Apple Photos and are not modified or deleted by URemember.

URemember handles photos and photo metadata as follows:

• original photo files are not uploaded to URemember’s backend;
• generated Rewinds and photo-library indexes are stored locally on your device;
• local identifiers and derived metadata may be stored on your device to provide the app’s features.

If these practices change materially, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice where required.

URemember uses Supabase to provide account authentication and store limited account and profile information.

URemember may use Sign in with Apple for authentication. Apple may provide URemember with an account identifier and, depending on the user’s Apple settings, a name, email address, or Apple private relay email address.

This information may include:

• email address;
• internal account identifier;
• profile name;
• selected preferences;
• account creation and authentication information.

URemember uses Apple’s StoreKit and RevenueCat to manage App Store subscription status and entitlements.

Subscription information may include App Store transaction or purchase identifiers, product and entitlement status, renewal or expiration information, and app or account identifiers used to associate subscription access.

Apple processes App Store payments. URemember does not receive full payment-card details from Apple.

URemember does not provide photo-library contents or photo metadata to RevenueCat for subscription management.

When permitted by the user’s Apple Photos access selection, URemember may read location metadata already attached to photos.

URemember does not request continuous live location access.

Photo coordinates may be processed locally and through Apple system services for reverse geocoding, such as converting coordinates into a place name.

Raw photo coordinates are not uploaded to URemember’s backend.

URemember stores certain information locally on the device, including:

• generated Rewinds;
• photo-library references;
• thumbnail and preview caches;
• Memory Map indexes;
• creation-session information;
• application preferences.

Removing the app may remove locally stored URemember data. Original photos remain in Apple Photos.

URemember relies on:

Supabase: For authentication and limited account or profile storage.

Apple: For Sign in with Apple, the iOS platform, Apple Photos access, MapKit, reverse geocoding, App Store distribution and StoreKit purchase processing.

RevenueCat: To help manage App Store subscription status and entitlements using subscription-related identifiers and purchase or entitlement information.

Vercel: For hosting the informational website. Vercel may process technical request information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps and request logs, according to its own service practices.

URemember does not integrate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, advertising SDKs, session replay or heatmap services.

Account information is retained while the account remains active and as necessary to operate the service.

When an in-app account-deletion request is successfully completed, the active URemember account and associated account data are deleted, subject to limited information that may need to remain temporarily in infrastructure backups, security records or records required by law.

The account-deletion process clears locally stored URemember information associated with the account where supported by the device and operating system.

Original Apple Photos are not deleted.

You can initiate permanent account deletion from the URemember app: Settings → Delete Account

Account deletion is not the same as signing out.

Deleting your URemember account and associated account data does not cancel an App Store subscription or stop Apple billing. You must manage or cancel the subscription separately through your Apple Account or App Store subscription settings.

URemember is not directed to children under 13, and users must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

URemember does not knowingly collect account information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes that a child has provided personal information may contact: urememberprivacy@proton.me

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights concerning their personal information, including rights to:

• request access;
• request correction;
• request deletion;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• receive certain information in a portable format;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.

Identity verification may be required before completing a request.

URemember is operated from France and is intended for users in the United States.

URemember’s Supabase infrastructure is located in the United States, including the North Virginia region.

Information may therefore be processed in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Applicable safeguards and provider agreements are used where required.

The informational website does not use marketing cookies, behavioral advertising or audience analytics.

The hosting infrastructure may still process technical network information required to serve and secure the website.

Before any non-essential cookies or analytics are used, this policy will be updated and any consent required by law will be requested.

URemember uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the service.

Device-stored information benefits from protections provided by iOS and the user’s device configuration.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when URemember’s features, service providers or legal obligations change.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the app where appropriate.
